GIVE us a call:

908 - 319 - 6359

Please note that if we’re busy at the counter, we don’t take phone orders but please leave a message and we’ll call you back!

Our meats are smoked on site so we can offer a fresh supply each day. BBQ is unique, and with a long smoking process, we can’t just “make more” when we sell out. Cooking on an outdoor smoker gives us great results, and also sometimes throws challenges our way, but rest assured we are smoking as much and as often as we can!

Our BBQ goes fast, so we like to offer it to the folks at the door, on a first come first served basis. We open at 11:00 a.m. and close when we sell out, and that time varies! We post our closing time daily on our website & on our chalkboard sign, so please check before you come down! Our closing time typically ranges between 2:00 - 4:00 pm

We have Pulled Pork and Beef Sausage Tuesday through Thursday, and also Brisket on Friday & Saturday (subject to availability)

Tuesday through Thursday, we also offer a variety of specials, including burgers, fried chicken tacos, fried shrimp tacos, and more! Homemade Sides & Desserts are available every day!

We are offering larger orders for parties on a limited basis, upon availability. Also, please keep an eye out for holiday party specials!

We are small family business, working hard and doing what we love. We are thankful for the opportunity to pursue our dream, and for your friendship and support!

OUR STORY

Big Tex Little Tex.jpg

In 1999, Mike Meredith moved to NJ from his home state of Texas for work and quickly made a good friend here. He felt homesick for the Lone Star State, so he was excited when his friend invited him to a barbecue. He couldn't wait for the familiar food from home.

He thought about the ribs, the smoked brisket, the pulled pork and the smoked sausage...

But when he arrived at the New Jersey “barbecue”, Mike soon realized that Jersey BBQ means hamburgers & hot dogs.

He was pretty discouraged, but on the bright side, he did find something better at that BBQ that he was missing… his future wife, Jen!

He southern-charmed her and they were married in 2001. Six years later, their family became complete when Cody was born.

Pretty soon, Mike started building UDS's (ugly drum smokers) as a hobby because he loved smoking meat for family and friends. He experimented with new recipes and techniques, finding his own smoking style that reminded him of the Central-East Texas BBQ he missed so much.

He created his signature dry rubs, spiced up his own version of ranch style beans, homemade slaw, our famous hell yeah corn, and spent years perfecting his signature sauce. He created the comfort food that tasted just like his memories of home. He worked hard and held tight to his dream.

In the Fall of 2014, Pulled Fork BBQ was officially born! It was all hands on deck as our part time catering business grew and in 2017 Mike took the leap to dedicate his full-time career to BBQ at the Stockton Market.

It was there we became the proud winners of Critic’s Pick for BBQ in NJ Monthly Magazine for two consecutive years!

When we found an opportunity to open our own spot so close to home, we knew it was fate. We are a family. We work hard, we laugh a lot and we support one other. Our goal is simple… to share our love of BBQ with our customers and friends, and to create fresh homemade southern-comfort food with our own twist!

This summer we will celebrate our 5th anniversary here in Long Valley! We are so grateful for our wonderful & loyal customers, and we continue to meet new people every day!

Thank you so much for your business, support, and friendship!
